Careers in Audit (“Website”) is owned and operated by Careersinaudit.com Ltd, whose registered office is at Galaxy House, 32 Leonard Street, London, EC2A 4LZ, England. For the purposes of the Terms, "we", "our" and "us" refers to Careersinaudit.com Ltd. Please review the Terms carefully before using the Website.

You agree we may deem your use of the Website as agreement to be bound by the Terms.

The Website is comprised of (i) the Job Board, and any other service we or our licensors may offer from time to time (the “Services”); and (ii) the information within the Services, images, data, sound files, articles, news and any other information we, our licensors or other third parties may provide from time to time (together, the “Content”).

1. Your use of this Site.

You agree that you will use this Website in accordance with the Terms, and in any event, for lawful purposes only.

In particular, but without limitation, you agree that you will not and will not attempt to:

  • take any action or use any software, device or routine (including but not limited to uploading or making available files containing corrupt data, viruses, virus, cancelbot, Trojan horse or worms) to damage, crash, delay, or otherwise interfere with the operation of this Website;
  • deface, alter or interfere with the 'look and feel' of this Website or the underlying software code, or (except as is expressly required by applicable law) decipher, disassemble or modify any of the software, coding or information comprised in the Website;
  • take any action that seeks to overload (such as by spamming or flooding) the Website or its related infrastructure;
  • obtain unauthorised access, via whatever means, to any of our networks or information; or
  • aggregating, copying or duplicating in any manner any of the Content without our prior written consent.

Without prejudice to any other rights or remedies to which we may be entitled we reserve the right to:

o remove any information supplied by you from the Website; and

o deny you access to the Website

in our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason, without being required to give any explanation.

2. Your information.

You are solely responsible for any information submitted by you to this Website (“your information”). Our Privacy Policy sets out what we may do with your information, which you should read carefully before making any submission to the Website. You are responsible for ensuring that your information is true, accurate, up-to-date and not misleading or likely to mislead or deceive. You agree that you will not submit any information or other materials that are discriminatory, obscene, offensive, defamatory or otherwise illegal, unlawful or in breach of any applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines or codes of practice or the copyright, database right, trade mark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights or confidence of any person in any jurisdiction. We will not pay you for your information.

By submitting your information to the Website you hereby grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive licence to use, publish, display, distribute, reproduce, store, archive, modify, adapt, translate, and create derivative works from such information as part of the Service and otherwise in any manner we wish. Subject to the rights above, all other rights in your information remain with you and/or their lawful owner(s) (as the case may be). If you do not want to grant us the rights set out above, please do not submit your information to the Website.

You agree we may, subject to the Terms and the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, use your information to provide the Services. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details of how we will protect your privacy and use your information.

4. Our information.

While we use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Content is accurate and complete, some information making up the content may be supplied to us by third parties and we are not able to check the timeliness, accuracy or completeness of that information. Accordingly, we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in any of the Content or any liability in respect of your information, that of any other Website user or any other person.

5. Services

We are continually seeking to improve the Services. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes to any part of the Services. We make no guarantee of availability of the Website.

6. Links to other websites.

You may be offered links to other websites on our Website. We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other websites however and do not accept any liability in respect of the content of those websites. Your access and use of such websites is solely at your own risk. You may only link to our Website with our prior written consent, which we reserve the right to withdraw at any time.

7. Fees.

  • For individuals seeking work (“Candidates”), use of the Website is provided free of charge. At no point will we ask for payment from you, nor seek any credit card or other payment-related details. If such a request is made of you, please decline and let us know immediately by sending us an email
  • For companies seeking candidates (“Advertisers”), the Services are subject to our separate Business Terms which can be seen here . Payment terms are detailed therein.

8. Registration process and security.

You acknowledge that you have provided us with accurate and complete registration information and that it is your responsibility to update us with any changes to that information by logging into the system and making the necessary amendments through ‘My Profile’.

  • For Candidates: each registration is for a single user only. On registration, you will be allocated a user name and password (“ID”). You are responsible for all use of the Services using your ID and for preventing unauthorised use of your ID.
  • For Advertisers: each Subscription is for a single organisation only as included in your registration information. On registration, you will be allocated a user name and password (“ID”). You may choose to authorise your employees (together “Users”) to use your ID whilst carrying out the business of your organisation. You are responsible for all use of the Services by all such Users and anyone else using your ID and for preventing unauthorised use of your ID. You must ensure that your Users comply with the terms of this agreement and all reasonable user terms made available on the Website.

If you believe there has been any breach of security such as the disclosure, theft or unauthorised use of your ID, you must notify us immediately by sending us an email. If we reasonably believe that your ID is being used in any way which is not permitted by the Terms, we reserve the right to suspend access rights immediately on giving notice to you and to block access from your ID until the issue has been resolved.

9. Intellectual Property Rights.

Subject to your rights in your information set out in clause 2 , you agree that all trade marks and copyright, database rights, design rights and other intellectual property rights in the Content (as well as the look and feel, organisation and layout of the Website) together with the underlying software code are owned by us and/or our licensors (as the case may be) and in any event are subject to any restrictions or prohibitions imposed by us or the owner(s) of such information (whether directly or indirectly). You also agree that any information in a non-public area of the Website (including without limitation that intended for use only by authorised user(s), and/or requiring some form of password or other code) is strictly confidential.

10. Liability.

You understand and acknowledge that we provide the Website only as a gateway for users to review opportunities in and information about the auditing sector and we do not seek to or have any control (beyond the limited editorial rights pursuant to the Terms) over submissions or their accuracy, quality or truthfulness, and nor do we have any involvement in the negotiation or conclusion of any contract of employment arising from any information submitted to the Website. Accordingly, but subject at all times to the last sentence of this clause, we accept no liability for any loss (whether direct or indirect, for loss of business, revenue or profits, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or for any other indirect or consequential loss whatsoever) arising from your use of the Website and we hereby exclude any such liability, howsoever arising, whether in contract, tort (including for negligence) or otherwise. Except for the express provisions of the Terms we exclude all warranties, terms and other conditions, including but not limited to any warranty, term or other condition of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement in every case whether implied by statute, common law, custom, collaterally or otherwise. Nothing in the Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11. Indemnity.

You shall indemnify and hold harmless us and our officers, employees, directors, shareholders, representatives, successors and assignees against any and all costs, expenses (including reasonable legal expenses), claims, losses, liabilities or proceedings arising from the use or misuse by you of this Website. You agree to notify us together with all relevant facts if anyone makes or threatens to make any claim against you relating to your use of this site.

12. Miscellaneous terms.

The Terms may be changed by us at any time. You will be deemed to accept the Terms (as amended) when you next use the Website following any amendment.

Headings are inserted in this Agreement for ease of reference only and do not form part of it for the purposes of interpretation.

Failure by us to exercise or enforce any rights conferred by the Terms or at law shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such right nor operate so as to bar the exercise or enforcement thereof at any time or times thereafter.

Any notice to be given by either party shall be in writing and delivered personally or sent by pre-paid recorded delivery or registered post or by fax to our registered address or where applicable to you at the address in your information.

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be illegal or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction it shall be deemed to have been deleted without affecting the remaining provisions.

The Terms supersedes all prior agreements and arrangements of whatever nature and sets out the entire agreement and understanding between you and us relating to its subject matter.

13. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction.

The use of this website and any agreements entered into through this website are to be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The courts of England are to have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or any agreement made through this website.
