Internal audit manager
Our Client is a large trading organization in Europe is in need of an experienced internal audit manager reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor. The position is based in Europe/ Austria.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Management of staff including training and development
Interview and recruitment of potential candidates.
Managing a team within the entire internal audit function to carry out multi-scope reviews of governance and control at this company and its subsidiaries, in accordance with the audit plan.
Managing a team on assignments within the group as part of company’s internal process to comply with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Responsibility for carrying out special projects.
Involvement in quality control of co-sourced work.
Co-ordination of the reporting of issues arising, audit recommendations and assessment of adequacy of management responses.
Communication to senior group and operating company management of issues arising.
Preparation of material for submission to the Audit Committee.
Identifying the needs and best methods to improve internal control across the company.
Education & Experience
University degree in business related field. MBA desired.
10 years experience in internal or external audit with at least 5 years managing staff in an internal or external audit function, and in depth exposure to COSO internal controls framework.
Certification in at least one area (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, etc. or equivalent) is desired.
You should also have experience in corporate governance, internal controls evaluation and assessment of risk management.
Fluency English is a requirement; competency in other European languages would be an advantage
