The Division:

Exciting opportunities exist for Assistant Managers to work in the Life Insurance,General Insurance,and Investment Management Sectors within the Financial Services Group. This sector is achieving growth and is continually expanding its client base of significant audit and non-audit life sector clients. We are keen to recruit high calibre people who will take this successful strategy forward. The work will be varied including audit, IAS consulting, regulatory (PSB) consulting and due diligence / transaction support.


Role Description:

The successful candidates will be responsible for the management of the audit of key sections or business units of life insurance clients. This will involve audit planning, day to day management of field teams including review of audit work, liaison with key client staff and the management of the reporting process. You will report to either a senior manager or direct to a Partner.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to become involved in a range of advisory assignments currently provided to the life insurance sector including transaction advisory support, regulatory consulting and other technical advice. You will also be expected to assist with the technical and business development initiatives within the team.


Further responsibilities include:

- Ensuring completion of audits/projects within agreed timescales
- Budgeting time allocation to assignments and explaining variances from budget
- Participation in due diligence or other transaction support engagements
- Drafting accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/IAS

Preferably ACAs (or equivelant) with up to two years post qualification experience (preferably first time passes). Experience of IAS / UK GAAP conversions and FSA regulations would be advantageous but is not essential.
