JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT
RENT-A-CAPTIVE OPERATIONS
This position reports to the Vice President.
Location: Bermuda

BACKGROUND
Our client is specialized in the sale of loss sensitive products and services to the
Commercial middle market and also to the public entity market.
In Bermuda we operate several rent-a-captive facilities and we are looking to recruit an
individual to assist in the financial management of these companies and their respective
programs.

JOB OBJECTIVE
•?Provide comprehensive financial and administrative services to clients under
management.
•?Lead an account specific team in the delivery of our services, with a view to
maintaining and developing existing business.
•?Assist in the production of new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant Vice Presidents are required to:
•?Develop, maintain and execute client service action plans.
•?Manage and train direct reports; ensuring frequent and open dialogue is
maintained.
•?Ensure current copies of all existing contracts and agreements are executed and on
file.
•?Ensure accurate and timely accounting for all client financial statements and
reports is performed.
•?Manage and control relationships with clients and service providers (auditors,
lawyers, bankers, regulators, producers, etc.)
•?Ensure clients’ compliance at all times with Bermuda Insurance regulations and
operation of the clients’ business in accordance with the established Bye-Laws
and guidelines.
•?Ensure all procedures and programs are in compliance with branch professional
standards.

PREFERRED SELECTION CRITERIA
•?CA designation or equivalent (experience in the insurance industry an asset).
•?Excellent PC skills including a good working knowledge of MicroSoft Office
Products and a computerized General Ledger System.
•?Ability to work to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
•?Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•?Innovative in the introduction of work/system improvements.
•?Managerial experience an asset.
