Austin Andrew are currently recruiting for a Financial Audit Manager to join an international company within the Oil and Gas industry. They are a high performance organisation who are leaders in their field, and are growing rapidly across Europe and the Middle East.
Reporting into the Audit Director, the primary responsibility will be scheduling, supervising and completing various audits worldwide, including both financial and operational audits. You will direct a selection of auditors in conducting the most complex audit projects, receiving policy level direction from the Audit Directors. You will also oversee the planning and performance of audit procedures by assigned audit staff on audit projects, including establishing purpose, objective, scope and audit approach for each assigned project. Other duties include communicating the results to the Audit Director and attending closure meetings. You will also assist in the recruitment and development of the internal audit team.
The ideal candidate will hold an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, IIA) and have thorough knowledge of GAAP audit procedures, including planning techniques, tests and sampling methods. You must also be self motivated and willing to independently. International travel of 25-40% is also required in this role.
