This is an outstanding Internal Audit opportunity based in Singapore for an experienced Investment Banking audit professional with good product exposure. Our client is a leading international Investment Bank and this position will offer excellent opportunities for progression either within audit or into the business.
Internal Audit within the bank provides independent assessments of risk management and control processes as well as compliance with statutory, legal and regulatory requirements. As a senior internal auditor for the Investment Bank Audit Team in Singapore, you will be part of a dynamic team covering activities throughout South Asia and South East Asia. You will also be closely cooperating with colleagues internationally in the course of your global review.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Analyzing and assessing the risks (market, credit, systems, operational, legal and compliance) assumed by the business
Identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks
Performing data analysis to facilitate risk assessment and control evaluation
Providing practical, innovative, and value-adding solutions to issues identified
Preparation of reports of review findings for senior management at local, global functional and Group level
You will have the opportunity to be exposed to all Investment Bank products, including trading and investment banking activities. Structured product training will also be provided as part of a core training programme.
Our ideal candidate should have the following:
At least 4 to 5 years of relevant financial services experience in an investment bank or a Big 4 audit firm
Experience in risk focused controls/systems based auditing techniques coupled with good working knowledge of Investment Bank products, systems and processes
Experience in data analytical tools or software
Knowledge of capital and financial markets regulations and compliance and legal requirements for investment banking activities
Traveling up to 35% of your time is expected
