Senior Manager/Director Recovery, Insolvency and Restructuring for Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands.

TAX FREE Salary range US$100’000 – US$140’000+ Benefits

Our clients’ major players in the Recovery, Insolvency and Restructuring business for Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands are in search for Senior Manager/Director.

Undertake management of insolvency, corporate recovery, forensic or liquidation assignments and assist senior management with supervision and development of personnel and other client priorities.

Must possess a professional qualification and a minimum of 10 years experience. Member of internationally recognized insolvency practitioners body (i.e.JIEB) and 5-7 years senior management experience in insolvency/corporate recovery.

Ideally we are looking for candidates from UK, Ireland and Australia as their insolvency industries/landscapes are similar to the Cayman and British Virgin Islands.

Due to continued demand and growth, our client is looking to build on their success and add experienced insolvency professionals to their team. The incoming candidates will be expected to take primary responsibility for all aspects of assigned cases, reporting directly to the office holder. Our client empowers its staff to administer end-to-end engagement processes from pre-appointment planning work through to final assignment delivery. Solid interpersonal and leadership skills are a prerequisite for this role as you will be responsible for the management and continued development of junior staff within the group, as well as relationship management with stakeholders and liaison with legal advisors. Team work is a critical part of our client approach, with everyone from partners to junior staff working collectively on engagements in informal teams spanning different jurisdictions.

The role allows for progression to an appointment taking position for those with the desire and the ability to meet the challenges involved.

You will ideally be CA qualified, and/or licensed as an insolvency practitioner in your home jurisdiction (or well progressed towards such a qualification). We would expect a minimum of 5 years of full time insolvency experience, preferably in common law jurisdictions. Experience in a mid to large insolvency firm or insolvency division of a major accounting firm would assist, but is not critical. Our primary focus is on a demonstrated strong technical grasp, coupled with a commitment to quality and service delivery. Prior experience in offshore jurisdictions, dealing with specialist offshore vehicles such as hedge funds and in court supervised insolvency such as compulsory liquidation, is a plus, but not essential. The type of individual we are looking for will be able to grasp the technical issues, law and regulations with the support of their team mates with relative ease.

At our client you will be working with highly experienced professionals, have exposure to challenging, quality work in a fascinating specialist field, ongoing learning and development, generous post graduate study support, merit based promotion opportunities and a rewarding remuneration structure in a tax free/low tax environment. At the same time we expect you to take the opportunities that life in the Caribbean has to offer for you and your family to enjoy a healthy social/work balance in a tropical environment and with ample opportunity for sport, recreation and travel.
