Internal Audit Manager
My client are a UK blue chip organisation with interests across a wide spectrum of sectors. Due to an internal move, we are assisting them with their recruitment of an internal audit manager to work in a Group role.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Managing, mentoring and leading a team of 4 internal auditors.
Managing and overseeing the completion of audit projects included in the audit plans within set timeframes and corresponding with department standards.
Assisting the Head of Internal Audit in assessing key business risks and controls in developing risk based audit plans, which are responsive to audit priorities and emerging risk activities within the organisation.
Managing and developing Senior Stakeholder relationships across the business.
Preparing reports and delivering the findings at a senior level.
Ensuring recommendations are adhered to and that plans that are put in place are monitored.
Developing a strong knowledge base and level of expertise in the operations of assigned lines of business or functional areas.
Ability to lead and deliver a full end to end risk based internal audit.
Proven supervisory and leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented and results-driven.
Demonstrable experience in being able to manage more than one audit at a time.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong knowledge and understanding of internal auditing standards and techniques.
