Audit Manager – Insurance – Edinburgh, UK

If you would like to further your audit career in a top Financial Services market working with a firm who have an enviable client list and have experience within Insurance/Reinsurance sectors this is the role for you. My client is looking to add an Audit Manager to their team in Edinburgh and will offer the right person a highly competitive package with excellent training and development opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ensure engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance and professional standards
  • Secure and develop relationships with senior client management
  • Approve engagement budgets and agree fees
  • Manage the delivery of other services to designated clients
  • Liaise with other service lines and other audit managers to ensure efficient utilisation of knowledge and resources to deliver services
  • Appraise staff in a constructive and timely manner
  • Manage the execution of staff Development Plans to help build their careers

Required skills/experience:

  • An internationally recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA)
  • Degree qualified
  • Excellent technical and industry sector expertise – Financial Services/Insurance exposure required
  • Team and peer leadership skills
  • Demonstrate successful management of a number of Major clients/projects
