This Internal Audit Manager position is an exciting opportunity to be a part of establishing a brand new Internal Audit function. The role is within a globally renowned Healthcare and Scientific body. As well as being an organisation of global importance they are at the cutting edge of research and development and as such provide a fascinating workplace.

This is a recently created team and position. The role will report to, and work closely with, the new Head of Audit alongside two other Internal Auditors. You will participate in audits within the UK and occasionally overseas. Being a new department allows those who first join to make a real impact on the development of the department and organisation. You can expect to be part of a highly varied audit function that includes, financial and operational audits, risk management activities, as well as special projects that arise. 

This newly established team is heavily supported by the new CFO and Audit Committee, and therefore will give the team joining now a high profile within the organisation.  This particular role will have the opportunity to own the audit plan for the subsidiary company, attend and present at the Audit Committee and manage the co-source making it a great role for someone looking to get the experience to position them for a Head of Audit role in the future.

The successful candidate will be a strong internal auditor and is likely to hold an accountancy or internal audit qualification. Experience from a leading accountancy firm and/or a large and complex organisation is expected. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.

International travel of no more than 10% to 20% will be required.  This role is likely to spend circa 3 days a week in London and 2 days in Cambridge.
