EY, FAAS, Director of Risk Management
We are currently recruiting for a Director of Risk Management to join the business and develop appropriate methodologies, policies and processes. These risk and compliance structures will provide adequate protection to the firm from legal, regulatory, commercial and reputational risks.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join EY's market leading FAAS team and work with some of the largest global companies in a role that involves assurance, transactions and advisory services. This position will also include developing long term relationships with senior client personnel throughout the business.
About Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS)
Operating across the UK & Ireland and supporting EY practices across the EMEIA region the FAAS team delivers practical and pragmatic solutions to our clients' accounting and financial reporting challenges. Our range of services includes assisting clients' with GAAP conversion, advising on financial accounting excellence matters and accounting for transactions including IPOs and mergers and acquisitions.
- Day-to-day quality & risk management matters from proposal to delivery stage by identifying, analysing and resolving risk and quality issues and liaising with other risk subject matter experts in the legal and independence teams
- Ensuring that clients and engagements are accepted appropriately in line with regulatory, legal, independence and risk management requirements
- Ensuring that quality control procedures are in place to assist the FAAS Team in delivering high quality service to our clients
The Successful Person
You will have a proven background in a similar role, ideally having worked for a large professional services firm. This is a non-client facing role with particular emphasis towards building out robust internal risk management procedures to compliment the growing service lines offered across the FAAS business to our clients. You will therefore have significant previous experience around risk management, processes and controls. You will also have the ability to push back to senior managers and partners when and where required.
