Our client, a FTSE listed financial services organisation with international operations, seeks an Internal Audit Methodology & Quality Assurance Manager to help the business following a period of growth and change.

Reporting to the International Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Methodology & Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining "best-in-class" (efficiency and effectiveness) internal audit methodology, tools and processes to deliver the quality assurance vision of Group Internal Audit through a portfolio of strategically aligned projects and process enhancements. This individual will provide technical expertise for methodology and quality assurance initiatives as well as providing assurance to the Head of Internal Audit that the organisation complies with all applicable internal and external rules, regulations and legislation.

Applicants require strong technical audit skills and understanding of audit methodology and quality management systems, together with the credibility and vision to influence key stakeholders and senior members of the audit team. The ideal individual will have helped define and improve the quality and approach to audit in the past and ideally lead an audit / process improvement programme. Due to the international footprint of the organisation, approximately 20% travel will be required and will involve mainly European trips but some to the US. This travel may be higher initially as you visit the various audit teams and regions.

Skills / Experience / Attributes:

  • Qualified accountant or auditor - ACA, CA, ACCA, CPA, MIIA, CIA or equivalent
  • Strong technical audit knowledge including up to date understanding of best practice audit methodology
  • Quality assurance / audit process improvement implementation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • A pragmatic, business focused approach
  • Financial services experience would be beneficial
