Our client are the world’s 3rd largest retailer with global sales of £60bn, over 500,000 employees and 7,300 stores across 12 countries.
They are currently undergoing one of the largest corporate turnarounds in the UK and the Group Audit & Advisory team are at the heart of this transformation.  If you want variety, responsibility, professional development and a real investment in your career, this is an excellent place to look.
The Global Audit & Advisory team cover a range of audit work with an increasing request to provide advisory, consultancy style business partnering encompassing risk management, change management, process optimisation and internal control.  The organisation is fast paced and reactive meaning they need auditors who are able to flex across a variety of tasks, drawing on their own and the experience of others to achieve results across different project areas.  In a constantly evolving environment agility, teamwork and energy are key.
We are currently seeking an IT Audit Manager to join their specialist team. Typically, you will spend 30% of your time on integrated reviews with business auditors, 50% on “pure” Technology reviews and 20% on change programs/projects assurance. Technically the work spans a wide range of bespoke applications (Oracle and web based), security (web based, cloud, cyber threat, online payments etc.) and Technology change projects which will form a crucial part of their future transformation.

You will be a “Go To” person for IT Audit for a wide range of stakeholders. There is a real team atmosphere and sense of enjoyment and satisfaction among the team making this an appealing role.

You will ideally be CISA or QICA certified and have experience of infrastructure audits, project auditing and performing data analytics.  Experience of integrated auditing would also be beneficial as the majority of audits are conducted on an integrated basis with the wider audit team.

Career development is of paramount importance. A full career within IA is possible if desired, but individuals are offered a variety of experiences in order to develop them in to more senior leadership positions within the organisation and there are multiple examples of both these career paths. In terms of development, exposure and variety of experience there are few better places to be an auditor.
This is a rare internal audit role with minimal travel, although given the global nature of the company there are plenty of opportunities to travel internationally if desired.
