Purpose Statement:

  • To support the team in the collection, analysis and consolidation of compliance related data for management reporting purposes in order to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation
  • To undertake controls framework design assessments (when required), design and operational effectiveness testing, process walk-throughs as required for SOX purposes under the direction of the Group Compliance management team
  • To support the Open Pages FCM application system administrator with simple data load and user administration tasks

  • The team is responsible for managing and coordinating all SOX compliance related activities across the company.
  • The analyst role supports the central FCC team and reports the FCC Senior Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • The FCC analyst will support the team in the collection, analysis and interpretation of compliance related data for management reporting purposes through the following activities:
  • To account for entity-level deficiency reporting metrics and related compliance submissions; ensuring adherence to set timelines
  • To consolidate and review s.302 submissions from entities
  • To reconcile differences between information held centrally and that at local level
  • To assist in the development of guidance related to compliance topics ensuring alignment with internal guidance and SEC/PCAOB Guidance
  • To provide reporting information to other compliance personnel (e.g. FCC managers, VP FCC) as well as handle ad-hoc queries from the business
  • The FCC analyst will, at various stages throughout the year, be required to assist in testing of the design and operational effectiveness of key controls or perform process walkthroughs.  They will work under the direction of one of the senior members of the team, and be responsible for delivering timely and quality test work papers as required by the various assignments.
  • The FCC analyst will provide support as needed, to OpenPages end users through involvement with the following tasks:
  • User administration (e.g. user account setup, maintenance, password resets etc.)
  • Assist in the update and maintenance of standing data within the Open Pages application (e.g. risk, control descriptions, test plans etc.)
  • Review of updates to OpenPages for completeness and accuracy, as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Sarbanes Oxley project experience (highly advantageous)
  • Financial/Operational audit experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Project office support/project management experience (highly advantageous)
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Project skills essential)
  • HBO/University degree; finance background preferred but not essential
  • Database and report writing experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Awareness of and interest in Compliance related issues considered advantageous
