Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

  • Address: Birmingham, London, Cardiff

Description

The SRA is the regulator of over 200,000 solicitors and law firms in England and Wales.

Our purpose is to protect the public by making sure that solicitors meet high standards, and by acting when risks are identified.

We make sure:

  • solicitors and law firms meet our high standards
  • we take action against solicitors who don't follow our rules - for instance, by taking someone's money or acting dishonestly
  • people can get their documents and money back, if, for example, a law firm shuts down suddenly.

Outstanding people are at the heart of our organisation. It is through them that we achieve our aim - to give the public full confidence in the solicitors' profession.

We recognise and reward achievement, providing a working environment which allows people to develop their skills and fulfil their potential.

Our diverse departments attract a wide spectrum of people from various specialisms - there is no single route into a career at the SRA.

Whatever your background, you can be sure that a career at the SRA will provide you with challenging and enjoyable work.

Our work is varied, challenging, interesting and highly rewarding.
