Head of Audit

• Firm: Top 30
• Workload: Audit Quality and compliance, Audit due diligence projects for new acquisitions.
• Location: Flexible across South of England
• Salary: £80 - 120k

Our client is one of the UK's fast growing Top 25 with ambition to be Top 20. Due to their highly acquisitive nature, this open door and agile firm are looking for an RI, Senior Manager or Partner to join and ensure robust Audit policies and quality are delivered in all offices. Focusing largely on small to medium size businesses you will be supporting Audit senior management in their bid to deliver high quality work with the help from informed and skilled teams. This is an ideal opportunity to join an ambitious group of people with the aim - to create a consistent, high-quality experience for their clients and aid in the acquisition of similarly aligned high quality firms.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and introduce new audit guidance and templates in response to new auditing standards, emerging issues, and in response to internal and external review findings.
• Undertake hot and cold audit and assurance file reviews.
• Coordinate the annual cold file review process with our external reviewer including discussing reviews with relevant Audit Partners/Managers and presenting in the Annual Audit RI Debrief.
• Review, monitoring and assessment of the firm's System of Quality Management under ISQM.

The successful candidate will:

• You will be ACA or ACCA Qualified
• Have over 6 years' post-qualified experience
• Be experienced in Audit from a delivery or compliance perspective
• Have experience of external auditing of small and medium sized enterprises, including consolidated group structures, under UKGAAP and FRS102
