Job Details
One of the world's leading, regulated, online betting and gaming brands is looking for a highly motivated and technical compliance professional to lead a team of specialists and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to provide expert advice and assistance.
This firm prioritises compliance and takes a pragmatic approach to risk management, balancing the need to manage risks with the pursuit of business objectives.
In a nutshell; the role involves incident management, regulatory reporting, and the development and maintenance of a highly effective team to protect the business from regulatory risks.
Technical Compliance Manager Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Technical Compliance Specialists team.
- Training and Guidance: Provide appropriate training and guidance to Compliance Operations Specialists.
- Incident Management: Ensure high-quality, timely resolution of incidents. Serve as a key decision-maker in incident management processes.
- Review and Reporting: Oversee incident management reviews and associated reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Regulatory and Technical Development Compliance teams. Serve as a point of escalation.
- System Enhancement: Drive the development and enhancement of systems to increase the efficiency of the Technical Compliance team.
- Departmental Alignment: Ensure engagement and alignment within other areas of the AML and Compliance department.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and external third parties.
- Process Implementation: Assist with the successful implementation of new or revised processes, regulatory requirements, and Compliance procedures.
- Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven track record of leading and managing a team.
- Experience in incident management and resolution.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working in a similar industry, preferably within the gambling sector.
- Proficiency in conducting investigative work and analysis.
- A solid understanding of the technical aspects of the gambling industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including gambling regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) standards.
- Fluency in a foreign language (e.g., Dutch, Spanish, German, Italian).
- Experience with SQL or basic coding/programming.
