ESG Analyst/Associate - Investment Management Location: London, hybrid Reporting to: Associate Director, ESG My client is a specialised investment manager focused on delivering innovative solutions across a diverse range of real asset investments. They combine deep expertise in operational real estate with strong capabilities in secure income strategies. Sustainability is a core aspect of their investment approach and business strategy. They are committed to responsible investing, as demonstrated by their alignment with leading global sustainability initiatives and industry standards. JOB DESCRIPTION Liaise with investment teams to ensure consistent implementation of ESG strategies and policies across funds and mandates. Respond to investor and consultant questionnaires in a timely manner, collaborating with the ESG Associate Director and Client Solutions. Prepare and analyze data using decision tools such as MSCI Climate Value-at-Risk. Produce ESG elements for factsheets and assist in drafting ESG policies. Support the ESG team in producing content for ESG reports, including TCFD and Sustainability reports. Assist with the submission, analysis, and continuous improvement of ESG performance assessments. Develop client presentations and marketing collateral related to ESG. Participate in and help coordinate the activities of the Group ESG Committee. Support engagement initiatives with investee tenant groups/companies to enhance their ESG practices. Promote an ESG-focused culture within the firm. Monitor and report on ESG trends in the wider investment industry. Support the origination and transaction teams on live transactions, focusing on technical ESG aspects. REQUIREMENTS OF THE CANDIDATE Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in ESG analysis, sustainability consulting, or a related field within financial services or investment management. Skills: High technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, capable of creating detailed reports and presentations. Quick learner with the ability to stay updated in a fast-paced team environment. Self-starter with strong initiative, able to work independently, collaboratively, and across the wider organization. Solid knowledge of ESG-related regulatory frameworks, policies, metrics, and strategies, including Net Zero targets, environmental or climate ambitions, and Impact Investing. Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Experience with GRESB submissions and reporting is beneficial but not essential. Knowledge of real estate or the DB pensions industry is beneficial but not essential. Passion for sustainability and responsible investment. High personal drive and motivation to succeed. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity in all aspects of work. REMUNERATION Salaries are reviewed annually, with any pay adjustments becoming effective that year. 25 days of annual leave in addition to public and bank holidays. The role is also eligible for a discretionary performance-related bonus awarded each year.
