Your new company
A well known and attractive charity based in the Surrey area, seeks a data governance and insights lead, working on a flexible hybrid basis, 1 day a week in the office. (or equivalent.)
Your new role
- This is a 2-year FTC position initially.
You will be joining this team at a time of transformation and be the SME in data governance and maturity for the organisation.
You will be adept in data governance tools and helping to classify, categorise and document supporter data. - You will define what first-class data governance looks like, including establishing a data retention framework for relationship marketing systems and tools, to ensure privacy is included within process design at all points, and will work to embed best practice data quality standards within the organisation.
- You will champion and train colleagues in how to get the most from our data, creating a framework for data classification, discovery and the provision of self-service datasets and increasing data literacy across the organisation.
- You will lead the charge in data governance and work in tandem with the CRM programme, to transform how the organisation engages with data, supporters, and succeeds in their vision.
- You will start with a blank sheet and build the governance framework, establishing data governance around the data change project.
- You will be happy to highlight any issues early, and focus on how the organisation uses the data to get better value from it.
- You will establish the data governance tooling and also mentor other team members.

What you'll need to succeed
- You will have several years' experience working within data governance in an environment where maximising customer data is key.
- You will ideally have a track record of improving the value of customer/supporter data to an organisation.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and persuasion skills, influencing and shaping the organisation's thinking on data, and enhancing supporter experience.
- A good blend of IT skills will be helpful - Microsoft skills, including MS Dynamics 365.
