Main purpose of the role: We are looking for a driven, passionate individual with an interest in sustainability to assist our Head of Sustainability in the execution of the Sustainability Framework at Asta Capital and its clients. This is a full time position on a fixed-term contract of one year. Key responsibilities: Provide support in executing the Sustainability Framework across all areas of the business and clients, both in terms of developing technical insight as well as delivery of initiatives. Liaise with key stakeholders within Asta and its clients to promote and develop the Framework. Monitor developments and emerging risks/ opportunities in the sustainability area. Support the reporting of sustainability risk and performance indicators across Asta and its clients. Coordinate projects to meet regulatory compliance, engaging with key stakeholders and ensuring they are governed effectively. Supporting the administration of corresponding sustainability activities. Support in the preparation of papers and analysis for internal committee meetings and meetings with external bodies. Provide administrative support with the Sustainability Working Group. Support the monitoring of emerging risks and provide analysis to the AMA Risk Committee, AMA Board and Syndicate Boards, where relevant. Key skills and experience required: Ideally suits someone with an interest in sustainability, whether that has been attained through previous work or academic experience. Knowledge of the insurance industry would be beneficial but not critical. This job profile gives only outline duties. However, in an organisation such as ours, it is inevitable that tasks may arise which do not fall within the list of key tasks. Individuals are therefore required to be flexible in their approach and attitude when tasks arise which are not specifically covered in their job description. Should an additional responsibility become a regular part of the job, the individual should agree anew job profile with their manager.
