With more than 100 audit specialists, 8 Partners and strong administrative support, we’re one of the largest single office charity teams in the UK. Working with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations, including charities (social, religious, welfare, international development, healthcare etc.) and educational organisations (independent schools, government funded schools, colleges and universities) makes it an exciting opportunity with the ability to become a specialist of each.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Carry out all audit work within the Charity team, in compliance with the firm’s and statutory procedures
- Prepare accounts, including consolidated accounts, from accounting records.
- Provide general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts, for example preparing working papers
- Provide technical support to the Charity team and its clients in investigating defined issues in liaison with seniors and managers of the team.
- Take an interest in the affairs of, and get to know, the clients so that you are aware of current work being dealt with by the Partners, Directors and Managers.
- Liaise with staff and clients (as required), and aim to further good relations and promote the firm’s image and services at all times.
You are the right person for the role if you:
- Previous experience within an similar environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 2.1 Degree
- 120 UCAS tariff points (300 using old UCAS tariff), or equivalent from 3 A-levels (excluding General Studies and resits)
- A minimum of Level 5 (B grade using the old system) in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent
