Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Management: Design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines to deliver high-quality, timely datasets to stakeholders.
- Tool Development: Develop products and tools to enhance the capabilities of the Data Science & AI team.
- AI & Automation: Leverage AI and machine learning to automate processes, improving scalability and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with investment staff and other stakeholders to anticipate and address data needs.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement quality control checks to validate data integrity and availability.
- Incident Management: Maintain alerting systems, monitor operations, and investigate data incidents to minimize disruption.
- On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for systems and products, embodying a commitment to operational ownership.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Experience: Experience in a data engineering role, with a strong foundation in managing large-scale data projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Highly skilled in Python, comfortable with different programming styles (e.g., OO, functional).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with one or more big-data tools like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Kafka, Spark, etc.
- Experience with workflow management tools such as Airflow.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data API integration.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- English C1
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a centralized data handling role.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and modern data storage solutions.
- Experience with orchestration and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proven track record of designing new system features within a data-centric infrastructure.
- Background in data management and analytics.
- Familiarity with market and financial data is a plus, but not required.
