The Finance, Risk and Compliance team (FRC) focus activities to tackle issues of importance to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), helping them to transform the finance, risk and compliance functions of the financial services industry and make it future proof.
With relevant Finance expertise, our 'FRC' professionals are responsible for designing, building, and delivering high value solutions that help our clients move forward.
As part of the Finance, Risk and Compliance team of Belux, you will be based in Luxembourg and will contribute to the success of your project team and your client counterpart in the financial services industry, in this market. You will be responsible for building strong and long-term client relationships through complex project execution and constant monitoring of your client needs.
You will be involved in diverse business development activities and sell innovative projects to transform the Finance function together with the industry and functional experts.

Duties
- Lead, manage and deliver complex regulatory projects for financial institutions in Luxembourg.
- Lead, grow and manage a team of professionals in Luxembourg, active in Finance, Risk & Compliance, helping them set goals, provide feedback, and develop their abilities to be able to deliver their best.
- Liaise with C-Levels and directors on the Luxembourg market to initiate deals and maintain existing client relationships.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on financial regulation matters.
- Conduct frequent regulatory monitoring to inform clients on latest relevant regulations and developments.
- Build & execute a business plan to help the FRC team develop and grow into an innovative and cutting-edge service provider in in the Luxembourg market.
- Help clients identify gaps in their regulatory frameworks and work closely with different stakeholders to resolve them.
- Be a leading figure in terms of knowledge transfers to other members of the team in Luxembourg regarding financial regulation subjects.

Your background
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in law, economics, business, finance or related fields
- Strong interest for the financial sector and business development
- Dedication to helping and advising clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience working with financial regulations, either as a consultant or within financial institutions
- Strong network within the Luxembourg financial services industry to initiate and secure deal discussions (Managers, Directors, C-Levels,...)
- Expertise and experience working with a set of regulations, accounting norms and guidelines from authorities such as
- CSSF, ECB, EBA, EIOPA, ESMA
- IFRS 9, IFRS 17, Solvency II
- Basel IV, GPDR, AML/CTF, MiFID, PRIIPS, UCITS, PSD2,
- DORA, EU AI Act, ESG, guidelines on Outsourcing risk, ICT risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are fully fluent in English, French and/or German are an asset
- You have experience in managing and growing a team
- You have experience in managing different stakeholders with conflicting interests
