The Society is embarking on an exciting period of significant transformational change, because of this we have a new opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Operational Risk Oversight team. If you're passionate about taking on responsibilities, driving change, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, this role is for you.


About the role

You will conduct thorough reviews and maintain ongoing oversight of 1LoD stakeholders, ensuring effective risk frameworks are established and risks are identified, assessed and managed

Additionally, you will create detailed reports for senior leadership and risk committees, outlining oversight activities and their strategic impacts.

You will oversee and track the completion of 2LoD actions and recommendations, providing necessary oversight and challenges to 1LoD stakeholders.

You will support with the embedding and evolution of a risk-aware culture across YBS, ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This involves conducting horizon scanning and integrating the findings into reports to keep YBS informed about emerging operational risks.


About you

In this role you'll have the chance to apply your problem-solving and analytical skills to make a significant impact. To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • Effective communication, engagement and influencing skills demonstrating the ability to understand, define and articulate business requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a pro-active attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively.
  • Previous SME in risk management and reporting within an Operational Risk space is desirable but not essential.
