Senior Internal Auditor role in one of the world’s largest retailers

If you want variety, responsibility, professional development and a real investment in your career, this is an excellent place to look.

The team cover a range of audit work with an increasing request to provide advisory, consultancy style business partnering encompassing risk management, change management, process optimisation and internal control.  The organisation is fast paced and reactive meaning they need auditors who are able to flex across a variety of tasks, drawing on their own and the experience of others to achieve results across different project areas.  In a constantly evolving environment agility, teamwork and energy are key.

The Senior Internal Auditor role sits in a large team (circa 50) and is responsible for the full end to end delivery of audits and ad hoc projects.  The ability to partner with senior stakeholders and manage key relationships within the business is vital.  There is a real team atmosphere and sense of enjoyment and satisfaction among the team, and although you will take ownership for key areas of work, you will almost always be working in an integrated team to deliver results.

Career development is of paramount importance and a full career within IA is possible if desired, but individuals are offered a variety of experiences in order to develop them in to more senior leadership positions within the organisation and there are multiple examples of both these career paths.

Based in Hertfordshire, the Headquarter is approx. 30 mins by train from Kings Cross or Moorgate, or there is ample parking onsite.  This is a rare internal audit role with minimal travel, although given the global nature of the company there are opportunities to travel internationally if desired.
