Compliance & Ethics Manager - international business
Our client, an international high-profile business, seeks an Ethics and Compliance Manager for its international team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Ethics and Compliance Manager will help implement appropriate controls, policies and procedures to help reduce the risk of bribery, corruption and unethical practice.
As the business operates across a broad range of territories, its products are often sold through third party agents as well as direct channels. This position will help ensure that both internally and in third party businesses that its policies and procedures are in place, that best practise is adopted and the the risk of bribery / corruption is minimised through appropriate training and controls.
As well as monitoring of compliance activities, this position may involve investigations of potential breaches and reporting of potential concerns.
Applicants should have proven compliance experience covering anti-bribery - UK Bribery Act or FCPA - gained within an international business and ideally covering developing countries. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders as well as explain technical concepts to people at all levels is essential.
Whilst the role will be mainly UK based, some international travel may be required, however this will occasional and should not exceed 15%.
Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Familiarity with anti-bribery legislation - the UK Bribery Act, US FCPA, and anti-bribery best practice
- Proven experience of working on compliance programmes and their implementation in large complex organisations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
