One of the World’s largest transport services organisations in Europe has retained us to find a fluent Czech/Slovakian and English speaker, based in London or possibly Prague. The company Employs over 60,000 people and delivers more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries every year.

An opportunity has arisen in the Internal Audit function of the British arm of this German commercial giant for the appointment of a Senior Internal Auditor.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Audit based in UK, although the Internal Audit team (an eight-person professional team) ultimately reports into Corporate Audit team based in Germany, who have a team of over 100 Auditors. The majority of the work will involve performing operational and internal control audits of the Group companies across Europe with the possibility of being involved in the Group audits companies across the world.

The desired location of the role will be based in London, however there is also the possibility of being based in Prague, Czech Republic. There will be degree of international travel (maximum 40%) to fulfill the obligations of the role. The candidate will ideally have worked for one of the top accountancy practices or in an internal audit role in a multi-national firm, with experience in auditing. Audit qualifications such as ACCA, CIA, AAT are desired but are not essential. Fluency in Czech, Slovakian and English is essential.

You should have a commitment to constant improvement and delivering a better service, therefore you should be self-motivated, pro-active and willing to take on tasks and duties commensurate with the role.
