Whether it’s next-generation diagnostics, life-changing devices, science-based nutrition, or novel reformulations, we are advancing some of the most innovative and revolutionary technologies in healthcare, helping people live their best lives through better health.
We now have an exciting and high-profile opportunity in our Maidenhead head office for a UK & Ireland Compliance Manager to join our Office of Ethics & Compliance.
Supporting a number and range of different businesses and divisions that reflect the breadth and variety of Abbott’s businesses, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the compliance program in the UK and Ireland. This will involve policy development, training, monitoring, risk assessment, advising the business on compliance matters, and issue remediation.
Working with a range of stakeholders (such as commercial colleagues from our sales and marketing teams, and the senior management teams of our different businesses), we will expect you to provide guidance and support on strategic projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with local policies, trade association codes, legislation, and corporate and affiliate ethical standards.
This will involve developing and delivering regular training and communication updates, updating management teams on compliance trends, developing and implementing a risk-based monitoring program, reviewing and revising policies and advising the business on third-party due diligence.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate significant relevant experience in related areas such as compliance, finance, regulatory, legal or internal audit.
You will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of regulations and compliance requirements relating to the UK & Ireland healthcare industry, and have a proven track record of developing, implementing, updating and monitoring compliance systems.
You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of our business, be able to work flexibly between the ‘big picture’ and the details, and have sound common sense and judgement.
In addition to a competitive salary and bonus scheme, Abbott offers a highly attractive benefits package which includes Restricted Stock Units, an excellent pension scheme, a share ownership scheme, private healthcare for you & your spouse, life assurance, and further flexible benefits which you can tailor to your own requirements.
