A regional independent firm of Chartered Accountants with offices across the North West are looking to make a strategic appointment to their Manchester office following over two years of sustained growth. With a strong pipeline of audit work for 2019 the firm are looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Manager who can assist the firm with their growth plans.
Your new role
As an Audit Manager you will ultimately be responsible, with support from the partners, for delivering audit and accounting services to a portfolio of clients. Your clients will vary across a range of sectors but mainly consist of owner managed businesses with turnovers ranging up to 100 million.
You will be responsible for overseeing the audit assignments and using the audit report to work with the client, advising the business owners and helping the client achieve their growth goals. This role will naturally encompass some form of staff management but there is also the opportunity to develop your business development skills and attend client pitches. There is the opportunity to gain RI status in this role.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint either an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who possesses at least two years post qualification experience. If you are a junior manager looking to make the next step you must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and prior experience of managing a small audit portfolio. The firm are also happy to consider experienced managers who are looking for a new challenge and progress through to RI.
You must be able to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and the ability to work with a broad range of personalities.
