Senior Auditor & Accountant

Senior Auditor & Accountant required in reputable Lancaster firm of Chartered Accountants offering full time or part time hours.

Your new firm
A highly reputable firm of Chartered Accountants based in Lancaster City Centre are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) to join the firm as a Senior Auditor & Accountant. This opportunity has arisen due to organic growth within the firm and a number of new business wins over the past twelve months. The firm will consider working patterns of either 3-4 days a week (with flexibility) or full time hours.

Your new role
As a Senior Auditor you will be responsible for undertaking a range of audit and accounting assignments under the supervision of an RI. Your work will be split 60% towards audit and 40$ towards statutory and management accounts work. Day to day tasks will include undertaking the audit assignment from planning, fieldwork through to completion, undertaking external audit reviews, preparing statutory accounts from trial balance and preparing ad hoc management accounts. The audit work you will undertake will be varied, with each assignment lasting under a week and whilst there is around 4 weeks of away jobs per year this will be split out throughout the year. The majority of clients are based locally to Lancaster.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint a practice trained qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) who ideally has gained some post qualified experience. You must be competent in undertaking both audit and accounting assignments under supervision and have strong interpersonal skills as you will often be liaising with clients. The firm will consider both part time applications of 4 days a week or full time hours.
