A reputable leading firm of Chartered Accountants with a national presence are currently seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant to join their Northern Accounting function. Their Northern offices consist of Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool and they are currently looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their largest Northern office in Manchester City Centre. This is a great career opportunity for a qualified accountant that has arisen due to continued growth.

Your new role
As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for working with a broad range of clients, predominantly owner and family managed businesses and high growth technology firms where you will be responsible for providing a range of compliance and advisory services. Day to day duties will include preparing statutory accounts under FRS102, preparing cash flow forecasts, assisting with VAT work using Xero and other cloud softwares, preparing management accounts, preparing corporation tax computations and working with clients to train and develop their software knowledge.

You will also be responsible for training and developing junior staff and there is progression opportunity through to assistant manager in a short space of time.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an ambitious practice trained qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) who has gained experience in both statutory accounts work and management accounts. The firm champion Xero as their software of choice, so any prior experience of this or other cloud software would be advantageous. You will have occasional visits to client site and be responsible for developing relationships with both your clients and junior members of staff so strong interpersonal skills are essential.
