EMEA Internal Audit Manager with high travel

Our client, a $multi-billion turnover US listed organisation with a truly global footprint, seeks an EMEA Internal Audit Manager to strengthen its corporate auditing team. Reporting into the Head of Internal Audit, the EMEA Internal Audit Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of financial and operational audits, special investigations and other ad hoc projects as required.

This is a high profile, hands-on delivery focused role that will require extensive travel - circa 80% - to operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Whilst long-haul trips will require stays away, travel to European countries may allow for a return to the UK at weekends should you prefer.

This is a high-profile role that would suit a delivery focused, hands-on audit professional with a desire to promote best practice and add value.

Skills / Experience / Attributes:

• Qualified accountant or auditor (essential) - ACA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CIA or MIIA preferred
• Post-qualification 'in-house' internal audit experience covering financial and operational audits gained within an international business
• Strong understanding of internal auditing and accounting practices and principles
• US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge would be beneficial
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written English is essential
• Good IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint
• Further language skills would be advantageous
