My client are a fast expanding financial services and card payments company based in leafy Herefordshire.

As the company expands, the decision has been made to strengthen the business with the addition of an experienced and dedicated Lead Internal Audit professional who will develop and deliver a risk based internal audit strategy for the business.

This is an exciting new role and would suit an ambitious internal audit professional seeking a role with no travel but high influence.

You will be responsible for setting the company's audit strategy, including planning, executing and reporting on operational, regulatory, financial and compliance related audits and reviews across the business.

The role also provides a consulting service, advising management and stakeholders on how to improve systems and processes to ensure they are managing their business areas effectively.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Relevant professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIA. CMIIA
  • Experience of auditing ISO Standards
  • Experience of card payment industry (PCI DSS/CP) audits desirable


The successful applicant will be used to using internal audit methodologies to deliver a full end to end internal audit service to the business. You will be an experienced auditor who is ambitious and ready to step up into a leadership and strategy minded role.

The team is small but growing so experience of management would be considered to be advantageous. Agile working is common place in this organization and the client is open to someone working from home a couple of days each week, once established into the role.
