Your new company
UK Research & Innovation is a new organisation which works in partnership with universities, research organisations, businesses, charities, and government to create the best possible environment for research and innovation to flourish. UKRI aims to maximise the contribution of each of our component parts, working individually and collectively. Operating across the whole of the UK with a combined budget of more than £7 billion, UKRI brings together the seven Research Councils, Innovate UK and Research England.
Your new role
You will be joining the UKRI Governance, Assurance, Risk and Information Governance (GARI) function which is part of the UKRI central services team where you will be supporting the whole of UKRI. You will be responsible for completing UKRI office-based reviews of the assignments you are auditing, supporting the Funding Audit Consultants on site-based visits, producing assurance assessments in line with policies and maintaining funding assurance records. Additionally, you will create operating procedures, produce guidance documentation and deputise for the Funding Audit Consultants as required.
What you'll need to succeed
A relevant qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or a degree as minimum, with demonstrable experience in an internal audit role. You will need to be able to communicate excellently as you will produce reports and deliver workshops to a diverse group of individuals. Knowledge or experience within a research environment and understanding of the principles of TRAK are highly advantageous, though not essential.
What you'll get in return
You’ll earn between £30,357 - £37,947 per annum and be entitled to a number of competitive benefits including 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible working and access to exclusive employee discounts. This role is being offered on an ongoing contract basis.
