Job Details
We have been referred to a manufacturing, logistics and distribution business, who are looking for a Head of Audit, reporting to the Global Head of Audit abroad. This role will be based in their Central London HQ.
As the sole point of contact for audit in EMEA, communication and management skills are key to the success of this position, as is maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders at Director level and up to board level to help ensure the audit work carried out adequately addresses the key risks in the Group. The business currently our-sources internal audit function to one of the Top 10 practice firms, but the aim would be for this person to join and then very quickly afterwards recruit a team of 1-2 Senior Internal Auditors (FTEs). This would be a good fit for an experienced Internal Audit Manager or Senior Manager from a Top 10 practice, who is looking for their first Head of Audit role in industry.
You will likely be a Big 4/Top 10 trained audit or finance professional, ideally with a relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.), including some based in the UK. Previous management (of people) experience is essential, but experience in the industry, or comparably dynamic industries, is a benefit. Travel is expected to be around 30-40%, globally, but mostly around EMEA.
