Job Details
A large business headquartered in London is looking for an Internal Audit Manager.
As part of the audit and risk and audit team, the primary part of this role is to provide assurance to the Audit Committee (AC) on the adequacy of the internal control environment in place in order to minimise and mitigate those risks.
You will deliver end-to-end audits to fulfill the team’s objective of completing the annual audit plan, which consists of financial, operational and internal controls-based audits, as well as ad hoc projects such as investigations and advisory work. This role also will include line management of one senior auditor, and leading teams of up to 4 people.
We are looking for an experienced auditor with proven people/project management experience (either in practice or in industry), who demonstrates leadership and relationship building qualities in all that they do and someone who anticipates problems and pro-actively seeks solutions. Travel for this role will expected to be very low, around 5%.
You will likely be a Top 10 /Big 4 trained audit or finance professional, ideally with a relevant qualification (ACA, CPA, CA, ACCA, CIA, etc). Previous management experience is essential either in practice, in industry or a mix of the two. Experience in manufacturing based industries, or comparably dynamic industries, is a benefit.
This business boasts a track record of moving previous Internal Audit Managers on and up in audit or into the business as IA is seen as the developing ground for future leaders in the business, so the successful applicant will be encouraged to develop into a senior position once they have learnt the business and built their network appropriately.
