Job Specification 

Our client is a highly regarded international bank. They are seeking to employ a qualified financial accountant.

You will be supporting the Head of Financial Control and provide back-up to Financial Reporting Manager on Financial Reporting including statutory accounts, audit and taxation; Suspense and Nostro accounts’ reconciliation; Group reporting; ALCO reporting; Audit letter confirmations; Projects.

Primary Responsibilities of Role:

• Production of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
• Assist Head of Financial Control with coordination of interim and annual audits
• Contribute to completion of corporation tax, VAT, FATCA and SECT17
• Play a leading role in completion of Group reporting and provide back-up support to
• Financial Reporting Manger as necessary
• Preparation of monthly ALCO reports
• Coordination of audit letter confirmation process
• Balance sheet, suspense and internal accounts’ reconciliations
• Nostro accounts’ reconciliations
• Support accounts payable process and provide back to Financial Reporting Manager
• Support Head of Financial Control in preparation and annual review of general
• accounting policies and procedures
• Support Regulatory Reporting team with inputs for completion of Common Reporting
• Any other duties assigned by Head of Financial Control and CFO

Leadership:
Essential:

• Strong sense of accountability and responsibility. A motivated self-starter and dynamic team player.

Candidate Profile:

• You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA/CIMA)
• You will have at least 5 years post qualification experience with sound financial reporting and financial control/management experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• You will preferably have worked in financial Services and in particular working within Banking
• Good knowledge of banking / accounting general ledger system

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy and good analytical skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office suites (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
