Audit Manager

Your new company

My client is an independent regulator that is currently recruiting for an Audit Manager on a permanent basis.

Your new role

You will be responsible for monitoring/overseeing of the regulation of auditors and accountants by the recognised professional bodies for both company and local public audit. You will be responsible for providing expert analysis and evaluation of the audit regulatory framework and related matters. In addition, you will be responsible for analysis and review of proposed changes to the rules and processes of the professional bodies. Furthermore, you will be responsible for liaising with government bodies as well as professional bodies to discuss matters of shared interest and draft responses to government and other external consultation documents.

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential to be a fully qualified (e.g ICAEW/ACCA) accountant with experience of the audit regulatory environment and the issues facing audit in the UK. You will have significant experience in regulation either in government department, regulator body or audit as well as having understanding of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to corporate and local public auditors.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a salary of £84,800 per annum working on a permanent basis. An excellent benefits package is also included.
