A Top 50 firm of Chartered Accountants based in Manchester are seeking an Audit Manager to join their senior management team. This is a newly created job opportunity that has arisen due to internal promotions and new business wins which have seen an increase in the pipeline of work. The firm will consider Audit Managers seeking full time hours or a four day working week.

Your new role
As an Audit Manager you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of clients, consisting of larger owner managed businesses, groups, housing associations and charities. As the manager you will be responsible for leading a team of between 5-8 staff to deliver all audit and accounting work. This will include managing multiple audit assignments at one time and overseeing and supporting the audit seniors and teams with their delivery. You will be responsible for leading the client's completion meetings. You will also be expected to play an active role in business development, identifying cross selling opportunities with current clients whilst also preparing tenders and pitching for new businesses.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are seeking an experienced Manager or fully competent audit assistant manager who is looking to take the next step in their career. You must be ACA / ACCA qualified with over two years post qualified experience and be able to demonstrate a track record of managing multiple deadlines and overseeing a team. The partners will consider applications from both independent firms and Top 10 practices but your current role must be weighted at least 50% towards audit.
