Compliance Officer - Flexible Working

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are working with a well-known institution to recruit a Compliance Officer. This role is a 12 month FTC which can be based in either Glasgow or Birmingham and offers remote working.

Your responsibilities in this role would include designing, implementing and reviewing the regulatory procedures of this governing body in order to ensure efficient performance of the department as a whole. This role can be a stepping stone into the wider business, so if you’re interested in career progression into the wider business, this could be the opportunity for you.

The role involves a significant amount of travel (circa 40%) but the client is very flexible with working from home. Initial office-based working is encouraged for support and training purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be visiting clients and monitoring their activity to ensure compliance with the standards set by the governing body. You will be responsible for communicating any improvements that need to be made.
• You will help to design, implement and review regulatory procedures to ensure the efficient performance of the department.
• You will be responsible for providing support, in particular with regards to training and development within the governing body.

Person Specification:

• Recognised Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA)
• At least three years of UK/Irish accountancy firm experience is essential (preferably Top 10 external audit)
• UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
