Senior Internal Auditor - Public Sector

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the impressive public sector team of one of the UK’s leading accountancy firms.  You will be a key component in adding significant value-added services to numerous not-for-profit organisations across the region including local authorities, education bodies, emergency services, NHS trusts and charities.

You will be leading internal audits, identifying risks and proposing recommendations which are appropriate, practical and cost-effective to your respective clients. You will also be encouraged to recommend improvements to audit practices and processes.

Reporting to a supportive senior management team, this firm put a heavy emphasis on continuous personal and professional development, with examples of new hires being promoted within their first six months.

Prior internal audit experience within the public sector is not a must but you will possess a genuine desire to specialise within the sector.  Additionally, an internal audit or accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIA) will be a strong preference although those qualified by experience should not be dissuaded from applying.
