Italian Speaking Financial Controller

Assisting with the production of year end statutory accounts and annual report and tax returns for all UK entities

Responsible for preparing subsidiary annual accounts

Immediate communication of breaches/non-compliance identified to the head of financial reporting in London and assistance with investigation as and when required

Report effective and potential Operational risks, employing incident reporting procedures, mitigating the risks as appropriate

Deal with and ensure compliance with tax issues including withholding tax, VAT, income tax, preparation of tax returns and tax certificates for customers

Ensure accurate posting of costs, accruals, prepayments etc.

Further development and maintenance of the bank's chart of accounts; classifying accounts and defining where the accounts should be placed in the hierarchy system

Central Bank reporting to the local regulatory on liquidity, minimum reserve, AML etc. for the Italian branch

Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements

Monitor suspense accounts for provisions of relevant branches

Implement and control FL account ownership policy

Ensure accurate posting of costs, accruals, prepayments etc.

Discuss tax issues with local tax advisor

Monthly reporting of P&L, BS and liquidity reporting

Maintain a flexible approach and undertake various adhoc projects as and when required

Further development and maintenance of the bank's chart of accounts; classifying accounts and defining where the accounts should be placed in the hierarchy system

Provide cover for various ad hoc tasks for other teams in finance as delegated by the line manager
