Corporate Finance Executive

I am working in partnership with a boutique Corporate Finance practice, assisting them to hire a new team member to start in September/October. This is your opportunity to join an award-winning, highly respected team of Corporate Finance professionals. Excitingly, this role is open to those coming straight from audit and seeking a first step into Corporate Finance!

The great thing about this role is that you will not be siloed into Transaction Support or Lead Advisory – you will work on both types of engagement, making this a truly varied and interesting role!

Responsibilities include:

• Establish and grow a network of key contacts and participate in the marketing initiatives of the team
• Assist in the project management of a transaction process throughout and ensure the day-to-day requirements of a deal process are being fulfilled
• Identify key issues impacting transactions at an early stage and be able to plan for numerous outcomes and present solutions to the client
• Undertake detailed research on companies and associated sectors, analysing trends, opportunities, potential transactions and potential investors/buyers
• Possess strong writing skills in order to learn or prepare Information Memorandums, business plans and Funding packs/documentation
• Able to model integrated operating financial models, funding models (including the appropriate equity/debt funding overlays) and financial models suitable for the appraisal of investment opportunities or buyouts
• Actively participate in practice development activities and deal origination initiatives

Requirements:

You don't need to bring prior M&A experience to this role (although some advisory project experience is desirable). Rather, I am keen to hear from people with the following background:

• ACCA / ACA qualified
• 3+ years of Audit/Advisory experience
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to identify problems and make contribution to solutions
• Be well versed with Excel and strong financial modelling skills
