Business Process & Internal Controls Manager

The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are working with a global manufacturing, design and consumer goods business based in Buckinghamshire. Our client is currently going through an overhaul of their corporate governance offering, with a focus on business process and internal controls. They are looking for a bright, enthusiastic business partner to help them produce their risk and controls framework. This is a newly created position. There will be a need to travel to EMEA locations, most commonly Germany, around once a month for a period of 3-4 days at a time.

Job description

  • Engage with business stakeholders in the UK and Europe in order to help them manage risks improve governance through effective business process and internal controls.
  • Develop and design policies, internal controls and business processes.
  • Monitor the implementation of the above.
  • Be a genuine business partner – challenge stakeholders when they need to be challenged and offer creative solutions to risks, they face.

Person specification

  • Circa 5 years’ experience in a business process or internal controls role. Internal Auditors with an interest in the 2nd line of defence are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience gained with a top accountancy practice or large industry/commerce business.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience.
  • Any knowledge of SAP will be a plus but is not essential.
