Senior IT Auditor

Our client, one of the world's leading telecommunication companies, seeks a high-calibre Senior IT Auditor for its European technology audit team. Working within a small but high profile technology audit team, the Senior IT Auditor will support the scoping, planning, management and delivery of high quality and risk based internal audit reviews of business processes, business change, and the management of financial, operational and compliance risks within the IT space. Rather than hands-on delivery, you will be managing 'in country' audit resource who will deliver the audit or use co-source resource where required.

In addition, you will support the Senior IT Audit Manager in developing and maintaining an effective Global Compliance Programme that ensures that the group's policies are embedded in the business, that good practice is shared, and that any compliance breaches are investigated and resolved promptly.

Due to the structure of the organisation, you will gain privileged exposure to leaders and senior management within the business, be given autonomy within your role as well as international experience. Whilst covering a large geographical region, travel is relatively low - approximately 40% - to the European operating companies.

Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Experience of IT audit in a professional services environment, specifically application controls testing and general controls testing against the CObIT framework.
• IT audit or IT security qualification preferred - CISA, CISSP or equivalent
• Good knowledge of key applications supporting core business processes, including; CBM, CRM, end to end billing platforms (pre / post pay) and business assurance (e.g. revenue assurance, management reporting, risk management)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Excellent reporting (oral and written) skills
• Proven ability to lead audits and manage an audit team
• Proven ability to self-start and effectively manage their own workload to deliver a series of assignments
