This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading international Fund Management and Financial Services provider as their Senior Compliance Manager.
Your new role
Will have oversight of the day to day compliance activities, ensuring on-going compliance with applicable regulation whilst supporting the wider group compliance team in respect of change management and new initiatives. You will perform the role of UK nominated Compliance Officer ("CO") and Money Laundering Reporting Officer ("MLRO"). Keep up to date on applicable regulatory developments, identifying and communicating the impact of changes to regulations on the business. Provide guidance to management with regards to the interpretation and application of the relevant laws and regulations in the UK. Work closely with Operational, Compliance & AML, Risk and Legal teams to ensure a robust regulatory control environment is maintained, suggesting enhancements for key controls governing regulatory risks. Be responsible for the effective design and implementation of the UK Compliance Monitoring. Programme ("CMP") ensuring that it continues to provide oversight of the business and compliance with regulations. Act as principal point of contact with the FCA on regulatory matters as required. Develop Compliance & AML project plans, detailing the objectives, scope and approach for the project. Manage the execution of the project plan and regularly communicate with key stakeholders. Consider the impact of regulatory change and resulting compliance projects on end users and other stakeholders and develop appropriate strategies to ensure the project is successful.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Senior Compliance Professional with demonstrated ability to lead a UK compliance function and have previously held nominated responsibilities as Compliance Office and MLRO. Be able to take ownership and demonstrate initiative, to negotiate, influence, build consensus and successfully navigate within a demanding Financial Services environment. Be self-motivated and capable of prioritising and organising workloads as required in a demanding environment. Excellent interpersonal skills are an essential requirement in order to develop close working relationships with colleagues and business contacts. A detailed understanding of, and demonstrated experience with, performing compliance activities within a financial services company. Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory environment and ability to apply it appropriately within the business.
