Hays senior finance are delighted to be working exclusively with a prestigious asset management organisation in Edinburgh to recruit a Senior internal auditor. This opportunity will support new and exciting projects where the audit function will be the catalyst in driving improvements in the businesses controls environment. Our client is a successful international business with significant experience in the industry. Due to business growth, a new opportunity has arisen for an auditor to support their oversight function and partner with key business areas across both business as usual and project functions.

Your new role
The senior auditor will have responsibility for designated audit reviews, planning and managing audit activity across business systems and processes. You will agree action plans, produce high quality reports which are presented to the audit committee following review. You will seek to improve processes, develop standards and procedures and provide advise on risk and controls management. You will also support the delivery of internal projects within the department and provide quality advise and recommendations to management. This is a key role within the Audit function and well suited for an ambitious audit professional looking to advance their capabilities within a progressive organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have several years of experience working in an audit focused environment with an understanding of framework and governance controls. Core experience of financial services is preferable but non essential.
