Team Leader - Application Operations

In this role, they are responsible for a team of approximately 10 Application Support and Operations Engineers. Together, they manage a portfolio of strategic and business-critical applications that are deployed within the organization.

Your qualifications:

• Proven experience as an application manager in the implementation and go-live of new applications as well as lifecycle management over a longer period of time (including replacement)
• 3+ years of experience as a team leader in a similar environment (medium-sized company: 1500 - 3500 employees)
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of the setup, operation and support of server applications based on MS Windows and related technologies (IIS, Active Directory and SQL Server)
• Excellent knowledge of systems engineering aspects such as network and infrastructure configurations and security solutions to protect highly sensitive data
• Knowledge in Linux and web technologies (Apache Tomcat) are beneficial
• Fluent English and German skills (word / writing) are mandatory

Your tasks:

• Team Lead function for 8 - 10 employees with focus on Operations / Application Management
• Ensure reliable operation and support of IT in the definition and implementation of a target operating model, maintenance, application updates, system patching, and monitoring
• Change, Incident and Problem Management according to ITIL v3
• Provide 2nd level support and organization of 3rd level support escalations with internal and external parties
• Ensure that agreed SLAs and OLAs are adhered to
• Maintenance of the process and service portfolio for the relevant business applications
• Defining and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical applications
• Updating the system documentation and operating manuals
• Management of external suppliers and (software) providers, including contract management for software, consulting and services

In dieser Rolle sind sie für ein Team von ca. 10 Application Support und Operations Engineers verantwortlich. Gemeinsam verwalten sie ein Portfolio von strategischen und geschäftskritischen Anwendungen, die innerhalb des Unternehmens eingesetzt werden.

Ihre Qualifikationen:

• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung als Applikations-Verantwortlicher sowohl bei der Implementierung und dem Go-Live neuer Anwendungen als auch beim Lifecycle-Management über einen längeren Zeitraum (inkl. Ablösung)
• 3+ Jahre Erfahrung als Teamleiter in einem ähnlichen Umfeld (mittelgrosser Betrieb: 1500 - 3500 Mitarbeiter)
• Umfassende technische Kenntnisse über Einrichtung, Betrieb und Support von Serveranwendungen auf Basis von MS Windows und verwandten Technologien (IIS, Active Directory und SQL Server)
• Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse in systemtechnischen Aspekten, wie Netzwerk- und Infrastrukturkonfigurationen und Sicherheitslösungen zum Schutz hochsensibler Daten
• Kenntnisse in Linux und Web-Technologien (Apache Tomcat) sind von Vorteil 
• Fliessende Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse (Wort/Schrift) sind zwingend

Ihre Aufgaben:

• Team Lead Funktion für 8 - 10 Mitarbeitende mit Fokus auf Operations / Application Management
• Sicherstellung eines zuverlässigen Betriebs und Unterstützung der IT bei der Definition und Implementierung eines Zielbetriebsmodells, der Wartung, Anwendungsaktualisierungen, Systempatching und Überwachung 
• Change-, Incident- und Problem-Management nach ITIL v3
• Bereitstellung von 2nd Level Support und Organisation von 3rd Level Support Eskalationen mit internen und externen Parteien
• Sicherstellen, dass vereinbarte SLAs und OLAs eingehalten werden
• Pflege des Prozess- und Dienstleistungsportfolios für die relevanten Geschäftsanwendungen
• Definition und Implementierung von Backup- und Disaster Recovery-Strategien für geschäftskritische Anwendungen
• Aktualisierung der Systemdokumentation und der Betriebshandbücher
• Management von externen Lieferanten und (Software-)Anbietern, einschliesslich Vertragsmanagement für Software, Consulting und Dienstleistungen
