Senior Internal Auditor

Our client, a global organisation with a strong brand presence and customer base, seeks a high calibre Senior Internal Auditor for its European internal audit team. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Senior Internal Auditor will help deliver a range of finance and operational audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) compliance and special projects across all areas of the business, helping highlight areas of potential business risk and recommending pragmatic solutions to help improve the control environment and add value. You will assist the Audit Manager in producing reports to be presented to senior management in the region as well as head office.

This is a high-profile role requiring a self-starter with excellent planning and time management skills, who has the ability to work to tight time schedules, work under pressure and who has a high attention to detail. Quality, accuracy, working independently and as part of a team are key skills. The role involves regular travel within the UK and Europe (30%), however this is well planned and normally only during the working week. Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Strong audit experience, ideally gained within a top-tier accountancy firm
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience is essential
• Ability to explain issues in a clear, concise manner to management
• Strong administration skills
• Strong relationship management and mentoring skills
• MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Access skills to an intermediate level
• A second European language - Spanish, Italian, French or German is an advantage
