Risk & Compliance Analyst - Cardiff - to £45,000

Your new company is a well known public sector organisation.

Your new role

Your new role is a key position in the business and will contribute heavily to the organisations strategic planning.

Your post will involve working with colleagues across the business and include extensive dealing with the internal audit function.

You will also work with external bodies such as their funding regulator and IT software suppliers of the risk management system.

Key duties ;-

• Lead, review and develop the organisations risk management policy and processes.
• Lead the operation of the risk management system, identifying and using appropriate methods of presenting
• Develop and be responsible for undertaking skills transfer through delivery of specialist training to support and guide professional service colleagues in the maintenance and development of risk management processes.
• Support and contribute to the development and implementation of models for scenario planning, including, but not exclusively, those for risk management.
• Take an active role in the development, communication and monitoring of the organisations strategies and associated action plans.
• Keep abreast of risk management developments and act as a point of reference for others as a leading authority within the business.
• Develop and deploy expertise in relation to compliance with existing and emerging legislative and related requirements that apply to the business.
• Prepare reports and papers for committees and boards in relation to risk management and compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this post you will ideally have an undergraduate degree and some further professional training, that may come in the form of risk management qualifications, internal audit or professional accountancy qualifications.

You will need previous experience in a risk management related role, with a strong understanding of risk registrars, corporate governance and strategic planning.
